About Us

We’re the multi-racial, family of four behind TK Photography Chicago and Austin: Thomas, Tiana, and our kids, Griffin and Adair. For a decade, we’ve been capturing life’s moments in Chicago through our photography business. In 2018, we embraced a new adventure, deciding to explore the open roads with our kids in a Sprinter van. Our journey began somewhat whimsically while daydreaming about the endless possibilities of road life. Serendipitously, we stumbled upon a stunning 2016 Sprinter Van at the Loeber Mercedes Dealership. The deal was irresistible, swiftly turning our daydreams into an imminent reality.

In December 2018, armed with nothing but our van’s insulated walls, we set off from Chicago, choosing to complete the build as we traveled. Yes, it sounds laughable, and we often chuckle at our audacity – a tale we’ll save for another day. Our journey had no fixed destination, driven by a mix of goals and the thrill of spontaneity. Our three years on the road were a blend of exhilarating and serene moments. Then, in a spur-of-the-moment decision, we transitioned to a house in Austin, Texas. For the past two years, we’ve been dividing our time between Austin and Chicago, seizing travel opportunities as they come.
